Case Study: Legal Agreement Simulation

“Boring” Contracts? Exciting Outcomes! I partnered with the Real Estate Management team to transform a traditional instructor-led course into a dynamic blended learning experience with real, measurable results. We  blended self-paced learning, scored simulations, one-on-one coaching, and regular performance feedback. This revamp led to huge wins:
  • Behavior Change: Improved documentation accuracy, reduced missing vendor documents, and increased manager attention to detail.
  • Business Impact: Process improvement, significant time savings, reduced training time, and lower liability risk.
Business Objectives
Enhance the current REM onboarding experience and effectiveness to make it more efficient and consistent. Reduce the amount of overall training time and make it easier to reassign the learning “in the flow of work” to employees who need a refresher. ​ 
Impact
We used the in-course scores and learner feedback surveys to asses Kirkpatrick Levels 1-2. For Levels 3-4, we used internal department audits to measure change in the KPIs related to the task, as follows.
  • Reduced training time by 38%, with some learners achieving up to 65% savings.
  • Saved 1–5 hours per week for Real Estate Coordinators by avoiding unnecessary Work Order Agreements.
  • Decreased missing Service Contracts per vendor from 13.8% to 9.3%.
  • Improved attention to detail in contract reviews, with a 25% increase in manager/approver double-check messages.
